Crutch Project
Rose Adolphe's Story
A pair of garage sale crutches collected by the Global Art Initiative's Laurie Berg from Burnet, Texas were given to a young Haitian woman named Rose Aldophe who has suffered with polio since infancy. She had only one broken down crutch left. Dr Sorrells, president of the Global Art Initative found her and supplied her with those Texas Hill Country crutches. He delivered her old very used crutch to one of the Global Art Initiative’s artists, Eder Romeos who painted it with Rose in mind.
